Lance Smith, President
Lance Smith has been involved in the sport of performance rally competition for over twenty years. Competing in such exotic places as Hong Kong & Bejing, China as well as Monte Carlo, Lance has co-driven for some of the best rally drivers in the world such as Stig Blomqvist, John Buffum and Carl Merrill. Standing atop the winner's podium as a championship winning co-driver and rally car manufacturer, his attention to detail and love for the sport of rallying have allowed him to assemble a performance rally team which is unparalleled in the sport today.
Derek Dauncey, Team Manager
Derek Dauncey is General Manager of the Vermont SportsCar team and manages all team operations in both the World Rally Championship and Rally America National Championship. Derek was first employed by Mitsubishi Ralliart Europe (Factory WRC team) in 1992 and moved up through various positions with their team, culminating as Team Manager in 2001. Dauncey was an instrumental part of the World Rally Team that achieved four WRC Driver's Championships in a row with Tommi Makinen. Dauncey first worked with Vermont SportsCar in 2003 but joined full time early late in 2006.
Clint Fast, Logistics Manager
Clint takes care of all logistical needs for the rally team and manages our parts department. He also serves as an integral member of the team during competitive performance rally events. Clint joined Vermont SportsCar in June 2001 after several years of military service as a helicopter technician.
Chris Yandell, Marketing Manager
Chris is responsible for developing and implementing Vermont SportsCar's marketing and sponsorship activities. Chris is the driving force behind Vermont SportsCar's desire to serve as an ambassador to the sport of rallying and to help the sport achieve wider recognition and respect. A graduate of Marist College with a degree in Advertising, Chris joined Vermont SportsCar in 2001.
Paul Giblin, VP of Operations
Paul brings over 30 years of experience to his role as Vice President of Operations of Vermont SportsCar and Subaru Rally Team USA. Having been a participant and organizer of various forms of motorsports for years, Paul combines his passion for the sport and his knowledge of business to determine and formulate policies and develop business strategies with the objective of maximizing growth and profitability.
