A New Champion: David Higgins is quickly proving
himself as a world class rally driver. After rising
through the ranks of the British rallying scene Higgins
has recently put together a string of impressive results
that have helped him capture International attention.
In 2001 David won the Group N class and finished 11th
overall at the Network Q Rally of Great Britain, then
in 2002 he went on to win the Group N British Rally
Championship as well as the 2002 SCCA ProRally Championship
in the USA.
David surprised everyone in his SCCA ProRally Championship
debut in 2002 by winning four events in a row and
easily winning the Overall Driver's Championship.
Even more impressive was the fact that he won the
Championship as a privateer, overcoming the factory
teams with their faster and more advanced rally cars.
A Rallying Family: David and his family operate

in the United Kingdom where they teach rallying skills
and help students experience the thrill of driving
a rally car. David's older brother Mark is a well
established rally star too and recently finished second
to David in the 2002 SCCA ProRally Championship and
works as a test driver for the Ford World Rally Team
Getting Started: David got his competitive
start at the age of 9 when he began with motorcycle
trials and then moved on to national kart racing.
David was very successful at karting and went on to
win five Isle of Man Championships and the Midland
Championship. Once David obtained a driving license
he quickly moved on to rallying and was invited to
drive a Peugeot 205 in the Peugeot Challenge.
